This info-graphic titled What causes male balding provides us an overview of common causes of baldness in males. Hair loss (alopecia) can adversely affect just your scalp or your entire body, and this could be temporary or permanent. It can be the consequent of heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions or a routine part of aging. Anyone can lose hair on their head, but it’s more frequent in men. Hereditary hair loss with age is the most common cause of baldness. While many people experience a general thinning of hair several months after a physical or emotional shock, this type of hair loss is temporary.

Men typically lose 50 to 100 hair a day. This usually isn’t observable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair baldness occurs when new hair doesn’t replace the hair that has fallen out. Some of the males prefer to let their hair loss run its course unaddressed and untreated. Others may cover it up with type of hairstyles, makeup, hats or scarves. See your dermatologist if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you and want to pursue proper treatment.
